What sets our office apart is an unparalleled level of expertise and artistry. The result is a total experience you won’t forget. Our office has been designed with the comforts and care we know our patients deserve and want. We offer only the finest amenities and the latest in high-technology tools to exceed expectations.
Imagine seeing an enlargement of every detail in your mouth with the touch of a tiny, pen-shaped instrument. Science fiction? Think again! Intraoral cameras are tiny digital cameras that fit comfortably in your mouth and enable your dentist to show you an enlarged image of your smile on a computer screen. Your personal images can then be saved in a computer to provide a permanent record of care. This is dentistry at its practical and progressive best.
Our office is proud to use DIAGNOdent, a laser detection system that has the ability to detect hidden decay under seemingly intact tooth structures. The DIAGNOdent scans the area with a harmless laser light, detecting and grading the hidden decay using a numeric scale to allow our team to determine a proper course of action. The DIAGNOdent is a small, portable unit, safe for the patient and unparalleled in accuracy.
Laser Therapy uses a patented technology combining laser energy and a spray of water, a process called HydroPhontonics(TM), to perform a wide range of dental procedures on teeth, gum, and bone more comfortably. Typically, laser dentists use fewer shots and less anesthesia, reducing patient anxiety and providing a more relaxing dental experience. Lasers are versatile tools that allow us to cut teeth, bone, and gum tissue with less trauma and complete procedures that can’t normally be done with traditional tools (drills and scalpels). In many cases, this is performed painlessly without the need for shots.
We use digital x-rays, which provide high-quality diagnostic data with about 90% less radiation than film based radiographs. Dental x-rays are a primary tool for an early detection of dental problems. Dr. Cummings can detect issues with x-rays before they become problematic. This saves you money by preventing the need for more expensive procedures or surgeries. X-rays are primarily used to detect internal tooth decay, cysts, tumors, impacted teeth and teeth that are still erupting.
X-rays give us a clear view of what we can’t see, such as decay between the teeth. An intraoral camera gives the patient a view of what the dentist sees. The intraoral camera is about the size of toothbrush. Broken fillings, fractured teeth, decay, or any dental problem can be viewed so that we can discuss the treatment needed. We can decide together what treatment is best for you.
Each of our treatment rooms include televisions with headphones. Patients can watch their favorite shows or enjoy a variety of music channels to help the time pass more quickly. We also offer a beverage station and in-house WiFi to make you feel right at home.
